abstract = {Combined resection of the aortic arch and lung with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) in patients with locally advanced lung cancer is associated with high morbidity and mortality. Aortic stenting followed by complete resection might be an alternative therapeutic strategy for patients with lung cancer. Here we report a 79-year-old man with respiratory compromise who had lung cancer invading the distal aortic arch. This case study reports that combined resection of the aortic arch with left upper segmentectomy following endovascular stenting can be safely and easily performed without CPB.},
