It is great to announce that Journal of Visualized Surgery (JOVS) is endorsed by the Brazilian Society of Thoracic Surgery (SBCT) from January 2016.
We are pleased with the academic collaboration with the SBCT and hope through it we can contribute more in the academic venue and clinical practice.
Introduction of the Brazilian Society of Thoracic Surgery (SBCT)
Nowadays, the Brazilian Society of Thoracic Surgery (SBCT) is the most important society focused and dedicated to general thoracic surgery in Latin America. SBCT counts on more than 600 members, which also make it the biggest in Latin America as well. The Society was born in 1979 as a department within the Brazilian Society of Pneumology and Tisiology, but in 1997, it has become an independent Society. Since then, SBCT has been intending to be connected with the upfront scientific production worldwide.
The main aim of SBCT website(www.sbct.org.br) is to be a tool for its members in order to be in close contact with the society and also provide scientific informations. Through the member’s area (login required), the Brazilian thoracic surgeons have access to many scientific and educational contents, including an online e-book, a case discussion forum, a web-based video-classes program and foreign medical journals. These journals are Annals of Thoracic Surgery, Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, Operative Techniques in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, Journal of Thoracic Disease, Annals of Cardiothoracic Surgery, The Journal of Visualized Surgery, Translational Lung Cancer Research, Annals of Translational Medicine, and Seminars in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery.
