Journal of Visualized Surgery (ISSN 2221-2965; J Vis Surg; JOVS; jovs.amegroups.com; jovs.amegroups.org), the official publication of Asia Thoracoscopic Surgery Education Program (ATEP), is an international peer-reviewed journal focused on visualized surgery. It aims to promote the development of surgery around the world by the sharing of surgical experience in visual media between surgeons and clinicians so that all patients may benefit. Hence, the focus of JOVS is on instructional and educational video clips, photos, schematics of visualized surgical procedures, rather than lengthy text.

We strive to follow the best practices in publishing. The announcement of the journal’s first impact factor is not only a significant achievement for the journal but also the recognition of its more significant scientific reach. We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation to our Editorial Board Members, Guest Editors, Authors, Reviewers, and Readers for their invaluable support and contributions.

Looking ahead, we remain committed to maintaining the highest publishing standards and fostering collaboration with our editorial community and contributors. Together, we will strive to deliver impactful, high-quality content to our global readership.
