The focused issue, dedicated to the 3rd International VATS Course in Berlin and guest edited by Drs. Mahmoud Ismail and Diego Gonzalez-Rivas, aims to highlight the surgical techniques and research on Uniportal VATS shared and demonstrated during the course to surgeons all around the world, which we hope will also be conducive to patients as well as facilitate communication among surgeons. The issue is a cooperation between JOVS and its sister journal, Journal of Thoracic Disease (JTD). Another part of the issue could be viewed at: https://jtd.amegroups.com/issue/view/228.
