Assoc. Prof. Martin Andreas, MD, PhD is currently working at the Department of Cardiac Surgery at the Medical University of Vienna. He has a PhD in Vascular Biology and is a board-certified cardiac surgeon. His main clinical and scientific focus lays on valvular heart disease. He performs minimally invasive and transcatheter procedures. His additional scientific focus is based on pharmacologic studies and experimental technologies. He was trained in specific hybrid techniques at the University Hospital Zurich and received the AATS Advanced Valve Disease Fellowship (Mount Sinai New York).
