Jin He, MD, PhD, is an assistant professor of surgery at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is a surgical oncologist specializing in tumors from the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, pancreas, stomach, duodenum, and retroperitoneum. He performs open as well as minimally invasive (robotic and laparoscopic) surgery, including the Whipple procedure.
Dr. He received his medical degree from Beijing Medical University, one of China’s leading medical schools, and a Ph.D. in oncology from Fudan University, Shanghai Medical College. He completed the general surgery residency training at Johns Hopkins, followed by a Hopkins fellowship in complex general surgical oncology, one of the few US programs that is ACGME accredited. He is board certified in General Surgery and Complex General Surgical Oncology by the American Board of Surgery.
A passionate foe of pancreatic cancer, Dr. He’s research focuses on personalized treatment through stratifying pancreatic cancers on their genetic features. He holds several patents in anti-cancer vascular targeting agents and has published numerous scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals.
