Dr. Tommaso Hinna Danesi holds the position of Section Chief of Valve Surgery and serves as the Director of Endoscopic Valvular Program in the division of Cardiac Surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He is also Member of the Faculty of the Harvard Medical School. He completed his Medical Degree and Cardiac Surgery residency at the University of Rome "La Sapienza." In Vicenza he had his fellowships in Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery (MICS) and Endoscopic Cardiac Surgery (ECS). In 2014, Dr. Hinna Danesi attained the status of Attending, and in 2020 served as Director of the Minimally Invasive and Endoscopic Cardiac Surgery Program in Vicenza. From February 2021 to February 2023 was appointed as Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Cincinnati where led the comprehensive valve surgery program and build the minimally invasive and endoscopic program performing the first North America totally endoscopic aortic valve replacement and the first US totally endoscopic triple valve surgery. Since February 2023 accepted the position of Vice-Chief of the Cardiac Surgery Department in Vicenza until October 2023.

Dr. Hinna Danesi specializes in Minimally Invasive Valve Surgery including the Totally Endoscopic approach. He is one of the foremost experts in totally endoscopic valve repair and multivalve surgery. He has authored numerous publications including original scientific articles, review articles and book chapters, and presented his work at many national and international meetings including live totally endoscopic valve operations. He is a member of numerous professional organizations including Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the European Association of Cardio-Thoracic Surgeons and the Endoscopic Cardiac Surgeons Club.
